Playing at Nana's and Big Daddy's

Big Daddy bought Colton a jumper and activity set for their house and Colton just loved it. They really do spoil him way to much!!!

Carter and Colton

Here are a few pictures of cousin Carter with Colton. He came over to Nana and Big Daddy's the other night while we were visiting. He simply adores Colton.

Rolling Boy

Colton is rolling all over the place now. It's amazing how much he can change in only a few days. He just learned how to roll over from his back to his stomach just last week and now whenever you lay him on his back he starts rolling over. He has also found his feet but they still haven't made it to his mouth, but it probably won't be much longer.

This past weekend Colton and I spent the day together while daddy went tailgating with some friends from church to the Alabama game. We were on our way out there as a family but Colton fell sound asleep in the car, so I decided just to drop Chris off at the Quad. I hated Colton missed going to the Quad but hopefully we can make it out there for another game this year. Since we didn't go to the game, Colton and I went to Aunt Janice's house that night to visit with the boys, Uncle Dwayne, Aunt Donna, Aunt Janice and Nana. We all had a good time watching the game while enjoying each others company.

Big cousin Connor also surprised Colton with his first Alabama Jersey. Thanks Connor for the gift!!! Colton can't wait to wear it.

Painting Big AL

Mom, Valerie and I went to Sips and Strokes back in August to paint Big Al. We had a great time and we were pleasantly surprised by the outcome in all of our pictures.

After 2.5 hours we were finished painting Big Al.

Colton's First Alabama Game

We went last weekend to Heath and LeAnn's house to watch the Alabama vs. Clemson game. Colton wore his crimson clothes and his new hat that daddy bought him and he was ready to watch the game. However, all the screaming and yelling during the first part of the game scared Colton so bad that mommy and LeAnn had to take him inside to play. Poor Baby!

Bama Baby!

Colton is ready for football season!! ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!

Colton's 4 Month Checkup

We went to the doctor's office yesterday afternoon for Colton's 4 month checkup. He got 4 shots while there, but he handled them like a champ!! A little crying but nothing that mommy couldn't calm him down from. And of course, his bottle helped as well. He now weighs 17.3 lbs (in the 75 percentile) and is 26.6. inches long (in the 90 percentile). Dr. Buettner says that he is growing right along schedule, and looks like he may even be a tall boy. (Where in the world did this child come from -- Haha.) Well, Chris' grandfather and my grandfather were both tall men so I guess it's possible.

Colton is now taking 36 ounces a day of formula (6 ounces every 3 to 4 hours) and is eating cereal and fruits twice a day. He loves bananas and applesauce and we are looking forward to trying some new fruits this week as well. As you can see, this child LOVES to eat! He is also sleeping great through the night as well. He goes to sleep around 8:30 or 9pm and then sleeps all night until around 6:30 or 7:00am. I'm so blessed to have such a great little baby!

We also introduced him this past weekend to his Little Einstein Jumper and Activity Center that Aunt Melinda and Aunt Janice bought for him. He absolutely loves it!!! Chris thought he was a little small for it, but mommy was convinced that he was big enough and even put it together by herself!! He loves all the bright colors and even though he can't quite reach the floor with his legs, I know that pretty soon he'll be jumping all day long in it.

Highlights of this month:
  • He started eating bananas and applesauce this month. He loves them!!! We started out eating them for breakfast with cereal and we have now started giving them to him at night time before his last bottle for the night.
  • He is now rolling over both ways
  • He loves to watch TV. He can lay in front of the TV for hours watching cartoons.
  • He adores his dad and will laugh at him for no particular reason.
  • He is still a great sleeper! He sleeps at least 9 hours every night.
  • He had his first beach trip to Orange Beach, Alabama.

Rolling Over

Colton rolled over from his back to his stomach for the first time Sunday. He's been rolling over from his stomach to his back for a while but this was the first time the other way. Now, he is rolling over all the time. Changing diapers and putting on his clothes is getting more difficult with all of his activity. Haha!! If I can ever figure out how to post videos, I'll put some up ASAP.
