Why not just take a nap??

Before heading to church on Easter Sunday, I put Colton in his pack and play to watch cartoons so that I could get ready. After about 5 minutes, I went back in the living room to check on him and this is what I found. He was sound asleep! Poor thing was completely out of it! Mom and I tried to wake him up for pictures but we didn't have much luck. We waited a while to let him nap a little longer and he finally woke up.

Sound Asleep with his Laugh and Learn Puppy!

Even after I picked him up and moved him to the couch he was still sound asleep!

This was a picture of Colton before I put him in the crib. He was rolling around the floor wrestling with his Puppy and got stuck under the chair.

He finally found his way out!

Two More Teeth!

Colton got two more bottom teeth this past weekend. He now has a total of 8 teeth (4 on top, 4 on bottom). He is also getting better at eating table foods. Yes, he still prefers cheese puffs over anything else, but he tried the following foods this past weekend: pineapple, cookies from Celebration’s Bakery, root beer floats (yes, he loves sweets!!), eggs, grits, toast with grape jelly, jello, Baked Potato, and Broccoli. He actually did really well at trying all of the different foods.

Corn on the Cob

Yes, my child LOVES some corn on the cob!! I made sure the other day at the grocery store to pick up a few extra bags to keep at the house just for him. He loves to chew on the cob but he also enjoys eating the corn as well.

YUM YUM!!

Falling Pants

Here are a few pictures of Colton from Sunday afternoon at our house. He was having a tad bit of a problem keeping his pants up in the back. So, of course mommy had to get plenty of pictures..

Haha!! I just love this picture of Colton!

Yes, he carries his blanket around with him everywhere!

If the blanket isn't in his hands, it's usually in his mouth. He loves to chew on his blanket.

Eggs, Toast and Grits

Last night I cooked eggs, toast and grits for Colton and I for dinner. I was pleasantly surprised that he loved the eggs and the toast (with grape jelly). The grits never really made it to his mouth, so we will attempt that another time. He is getting better and better at eating table foods and I am so happy! This weekend he also had chicken tenders and french fries from Willy T's and some homemade chicken and dumplings cooked by Nana and he loved them as well!

Chris had to leave out yesterday for a singing in Nashville last night. He will be gone until Sunday night, so it's just Colton and I the rest of the week. Hopefully we will keep ourselves busy so we don't miss Chris too much.

Sunny Day!

Here are a few pictures of Colton riding around the neighborhood in his car last week. He loves to go for rides!!

Getting ready to go for a ride.

If you stop pushing him, he will stand up and start bouncing up and down wanting you to go faster. It is the cutest thing!!

Look what I found......

The other night after giving Colton a bath and getting him ready for bed, I left him in his room to play while I went to fix his cereal and bottle. When I came back in his room to get him, this is what I found....

Colton had way too much fun taking out every single piece of clothing in all of his drawers. He started with the bottom one, then the middle one, and finally the top drawer. I love the pictures of him standing on his tippy toes trying to reach every piece of clothing in the top drawer.

First Fall!

Colton fell backwards this morning while trying to take his socks off and hit his head on Nana's old iron stove. He got a nice little knot on the top of his head but he is doing okay. Poor baby! I know we will have many more accidents in the weeks and months to come but it just breaks my heart to hear him cry when he is hurt.

Big Boy Dinner

Colton had his first big boy dinner last night without any baby food. He had fish sticks, carrots, green beans, mashed potatoes, corn on the cob and diced apples. He did really good and ate a good bit of everything that we gave him. He loved the corn on the cob! I don't think that he got any corn, but he loved chewing on the cob. Haha! He still doesn't seem to care that much for new foods, but we're going to keep trying. I may just have to stop giving him baby food all together and then he will have to eat whatever we give him.

We have a Walker!!

Colton started walking this past weekend. He can now take about 10 to 20 steps before he loses his balance. He gets so excited and he wants to walk everywhere!!! If I can ever figure out how to upload my videos onto our computer I will post the videos of him walking. He is just the cutest little thing!! We're soooo proud of him!

First Spaghetti Dinner

Colton had his first spaghetti dinner last week. He wasn't too crazy about it, I think he just didn't like it to be all over his hands! I tired to feed it to him using a spoon, but he wouldn't have it, so I tried this and well he got a little bit of it in his mouth. We're going to keep trying, hopefully soon he will like more table foods.

Ready for Bath Time!

Update on Colton

We took Colton to the doctor's office this morning for his checkup. Colton fell asleep before Dr. Buettner made it in to see him, so we didn't get to feed him so that Dr. Buettner could watch him eat. We did however, tell Dr. Buettner what we have been seeing and he said that he is pretty sure that it is not a seizure. We're going to watch Colton though, the next few weeks to see if anything seems to change in his behavior. Dr. Buettner seems to think that it may be a small tick that Colton has or that he is just sensitive to the texture of certain foods. He said either way that he should grow out of it. I'll keep you all posted over the next few weeks. Thanks for the prayers! Oh, and by the way, our little boy is now 24 lbs!!

Doctor's Appointment Tuesday

So, Chris and I have noticed that Colton has been rolling his eyes backwards while he eats dinner at night. It really never crossed my mind that something could be wrong, but Chris was a little worried so I called the doctor's office this morning. They want us to bring Colton in Tuesday morning so that Dr. Buettner can watch him eat. I've done some research online today and I think that he may have Paroxysmal Tonic Upgaze. It's a disorder in which children loose the ability to bring their eyes down, causing them to look up. It seems to be worse at night time and usually he only does it when he is eating. If it is PTU, it tends to get better as the child gets older and there is no treatment. So, I guess we will see Tuesday what the Dr. says. Say a little prayer for him this weekend!

Sleepy Boy!

The other night while I was cooking supper, Colton fell sound asleep in his high chair while eating some banana puffs. The poor boy was still trying to feed himself the puffs even when his eyes were closed.

Gotta Love a Bath!

When you tell Colton it's time to take a bath, he crawls as fast as he can and he goes straight to the bath tub. Here he is waiting on mommy to take his clothes off and to start the water.
