Christmas Eve with the Leonard Family

We went to The Roberts house on Christmas Eve night for dinner and for our annual Christmas get together with my dad's side of the family. We had steaks, baked potatoes, salad, and plenty of desserts! It was soooo yummy!!! After eating dinner, we let all of the kids open their gifts. Colton went first since he was the youngest. He loved the ABC train that Aunt Donna, Uncle Dennis, Carson, Connor and Carter gave him, the Laugh & Learn Table that Aunt Janice, Uncle Dwayne, Collin and Garrett gave him, and the cute train outfit and Learning Puppy that Aunt Melinda, Uncle Steve, Jess and Cody gave him. Let's just say that this child is already spoiled!!! After the kids opened their gifts, the adults played dirty Santa and I won a gift card to Zoe's. Then we headed up to the movie room for one of our favorite Leonard traditions, the Santa Game. If you haven't played this game, it's a must!!! It's sooooo much fun!! And to make it even better I won this year!!! After the game, it was time to get little Colton in the bed for Santa to come so we headed home.

8 Months!! Where has the time gone??? My little baby is now becoming the cutest and the sweetest little boy ever! This has to be my favorite age so far because he is really starting to get his own personality now. He is in to everything and he just laughs and giggles all the time. He is such a happy little boy all the time!!

Here are some highlights from the past month:
  • He has tried mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, carrots and spaghetti sauce; however he does not like the taste or the texture. We’re going to keep trying though!
  • Has started crawling everywhere!!!!! And he is so fast!
  • Can now pull up in his crib! He started doing this on Christmas morning. I had laid him down for a nap before going to Big Daddy’s and Nana’s house and I heard him laughing and giggling in his crib. I walked in there and he was standing up holding onto the side of the crib. He just laughed at me when I saw him. He now will peak out the side of the crib in the morning time when he gets up until someone can come and get him out. It’s precious!
  • Hates getting his nose cleaned and face wiped off
  • Still loves bath time!
  • He now reaches for Mommy and Daddy all the time.
  • We made Colton his own playroom after Christmas and he loves it!!! We put all of his toys in there and he loves to go and play in there during the day.
  • Kicks his right leg and waves his right hand constantly.
  • He will now hold his bottle with just his left hand while watching cartoons in the morning time.
  • Loves the remote control and the phone.
  • He wears size 3 diapers and is in 6 to 9 month clothing.
  • Takes 24 ounces of formula a day. He also has cereal and fruit in the morning and at night time and one vegetable and fruit at lunch and dinner. He really loves to eat!

Merry Christmas!!

This has to be one of my new favorite pictures of Colton. He was crying right before I took this picture because he was wanting to take a nap before Sunday School. I however, decided I needed to take his picture so I sat him down in front of the Christmas tree. As soon as he saw me with the camera he started smiling. I just love it!!

Christmas with the Halls

We had Christmas with the our good friends The Halls, this past Sunday night at Mom and Dad's house. It was great to get to see everyone since we don't get together as much as we have in the past since everyone is starting their own family. Jameson and Colton both got lots of new toys and gifts!! Colton loved the Monkey Bag and Elmo Book that Leah, Brad and Jameson gave him, the Magic Set that Rusty and Brandi gave him, and the Alabama Outfit and Cow luggage that Trisha and Jimmy gave him. They are all sooooo cute!! I can't wait for Colton to spend the night with Nana and Big Daddy so that I can pack his clothes in his cute new bags! Here are a few of my favorite pictures from the night as well as a scrapbook of all of the pictures. Enjoy!!

We Have a Crawler!

For the past month Cotlon has been doing the leapfrog crawl (he gets up on his arms, pushes off with his legs and leaps forward). Well, he finally decided to use his arms last night. It was the cutest little thing. He still will fall forward after a few times using his arms but I think he is getting the hang of it. He also started to walk behind a walked on Wednesday night. We had one that a friend had given us and I finally decided to pull it out the other night and he loved it. I'll post videos and pictures ASAP! Merry Christmas!

Trip to Nashville

Chris and I took Colton last weekend to Nashville for a weekend trip. We didn't get to Nashville until 7pm Saturday night so we just headed to the hotel and Chris ran to Back Yard Burger to get us some dinner. Once we ate, we all headed to bed. We got up early Sunday and we headed to Opry Mills Mall for some Christmas shopping. For lunch we took Colton to the Rainforest Cafe. The waitress sat us right by the gorillas and I was so excited because I knew that Colton would just love them. Well who would have guessed it that he wanted nothing to do with the gorillas. He just stared at the butterfly in the middle of the restaurant the whole time! After lunch we shopped some more and then headed back to the hotel for naps. After our naps, we meet up with Tommy (Chris' friend who lives in Nashville) for dinner at the mall food court. We ate in a hurry because we wanted to walk over to the Gaylord Opryland Hotel to see all of the Christmas decorations before it got too late. The decorations were beautiful!!! Poor little Colton though was worn out and he didn't wake up until we were getting ready to leave. Monday morning we headed to ICE, How the Grinch Stole Christmas. It was freezing in there!! Since everything was made out of snow it was 9 degrees! We were all bundled up and we went through the museum as fast as possible! Check below for some pictures (It was amazing!). Our favorite part was the Nativity Scene at the end. Incredible!!! We all had a wonderful time in Nashville, but we were so glad to be back home in Tuscaloosa come Monday night!

Ever since Heath Cooper took Chris duck hunting one time this winter, Chris has been hooked!! Thanks Heath!! Haha! So, Chris has been wanting a lab to train for duck hunting. Well, he found a year old black lab and he went to go and get her today. We're not sure how Millie is going to handle having a much bigger sister in the family, since she is the diva of the house. We're praying she does okay!! I'll post pictures soon!! Her name is Sug! (I guess it's short for Sugar??)

Happy Birthday Nana!!!

Presents!!

He has finally found the presents. I was getting ready the other morning and I looked into the living room and I caught Colton getting into the gifts. Here are a few pictures that I got while he was in action!

Naked Boy!!

Colton loves to be naked!! As soon as I undress him, he goes crazy!! He starts kicking his legs and moving all over the floor. Here are some pictures of him the other night.
