Playing with Cousin Carter

Carter came to spend the afternoon with us last Sunday and the boys played outside for a few hours. These two adore each other and had so much fun playing.
They played in Colton's water box and played with water guns...

Carter pulled Colton around the backyard in his wagon. (Don't you just look that smile on Colton's face!)

And they even caught a frog!

Favorite Books

Colton loves to read books before bedtime every night. We usually try to read at least two every night and we always read Llama Llama Red Pajama (that's his #1 favorite book). Here are a few of his favorites:

Easter Afternoon at Big Daddy and Nana's House

After church on Easter Sunday, we all headed to Big Daddy and Nana's house for a wonderful lunch with the Leonard side of the family. Colton got to open his Easter basket from Big Daddy and Nana before lunch and it was filled with goodies!
Instead of the traditional Easter basket, he got an Easter Wheel Barrel.

He loved the chocolate bunny and wanted Big Daddy to open it right away.

He wanted to go outside as soon as he got through opening up his basket of goodies. Don't you just love the look on his face... "Mom, can I please go outside?"

After lunch, the big boys hid all the eggs and then it was time to go and hunt them! Colton wasn't quite sure what to do but he finally got the hang of it.

After a while, he got bored with looking for eggs and he wanted to race. Here he is getting ready..
Ready.. Set.. Go!!

Running from Nana and laughing the whole time!

Colton and Kensley playing in the sandbox.

Swinging in the swing.

Kallie and Colton driving around the backyard.

After riding around the yard in the Gator and hunting eggs, Colton climbed up in the swing with Big Daddy to rest.

Easter Sunday

Our church had three different services on Sunday morning. They had a sunrise service, a traditional service and a contemporary service. During the sunrise service they put flowers on this cross. Isn't it beautiful? Colton and I only made it to the contemporary service, however I really wish we could have made it to the sunrise service. I bet it was amazing worshipping our Lord while the sun rose.

Here is a picture of all three of us after the services. I think this is the first Easter picture we have ever taken together, since Chris was on the road singing last year. It's so nice to have him at home now!

Check out my little man all dressed up! Isn't he just the cutest little boy ever??

Hippity Hoppity, Easter's On Its Way...

The Easter Bunny came to see Colton the Saturday night before Easter! He got so much stuff and loved everything! His basket was filled with bubbles, a play flute, cars, splash balls, coloring books, water guns, Iron Man sunglasses, a shark bathing suit, an orange polo, puzzles, books, pepps and his favorite Cheetos and Doritos!

Guess what my child wanted first.... the Doritos!

He loved his Bible coloring books.

And his green flute.

And of course all three puzzles.

Bath Time!

Colton loves bath time! Here are some pictures of him taking a bath a few days ago.
