Growing Boy!

Colton is growing more and more each day! We went to the doctor last Monday and he weighted 12.7 lbs and was 24 inches long!!! He is now smiling and laughing all the time, and he has become such a good little baby.

Colton has recently started smiling, and now he is smiling all the time!!! He is just so cute and his little smile just melts my heart every single time!!!! He's growing more and more each day and it's a blessing to watch him experience all of the new things in life. He is trying so hard to roll over, but he still hasn't accomplished that. He should be rolling over before long though. Chris and I also took him over to my parents house on Fathers Day and we took him swimming for the first time. He loved it and he actually fell asleep while swimming around with Nana. He also loves taking a bath, and Chris and I look forward to his bath time every night. He is usually in a great mood during bath time which leads to lots of smiles and giggles. He is still sleeping great at night and is still eating ALL the time!!! Haha!!! Chris and I are heading out of town this weekend with some friends to the beach and Colton will be staying with Chris' parents and my parents all weekend long. Please pray for me, I really don't know how I'm going to make it without seeing him. I can barely make it a few hours whenever I go into town to run errands. But I know that his grandparents are so looking forward to us leaving town! Anyways, I'll post some more pictures soon of his first smile and of his first trip to the swimming pool!!

1st Night Away from Home

Last Friday night, Colton spent the night with his Nana and Big Daddy (my parents). Mom said that he did great!!! Chris and I enjoy our night together by going to eat at the Olive Garden and then going to the mall to look around. Surprising though, all we talked about was Colton!! We missed him so much, but I know that Nana and Big Daddy enjoyed every second of their night with him.

We also took Colton to church Sunday for the first time. We took him to the nursery and they said that he did great! After church we went to have lunch with my parents and Rob and Valerie and Colton slept the whole time!! He is such a wonderful baby!

Colton is doing great sleeping at night, and over the past couple of nights he has only been waking up 1 time. We usually put him down about 9:30pm and then he wakes up around 3am and then he is up again around 6am. He just starting having cereal in his bottle at night and he loves it!! This boy could probably eat every hour if I would let him!! Haha!!

He is also starting to smile every now and then and he will just melt your heart with his precious little smile!!!

1 Month Old

Colton was 1 month old Monday. It's had to believe that he's already been in this world for over a month. He has grown so much and he is just a complete JOY!! Over the past few days he has been more active during the day and he is finally starting to stare at certain things throughout the day. He still loves to swing and he now enjoys laying on the floor to stretch out his legs and arms.

Millie is still doing great with Colton. As soon as he makes just the tiniest noise she runs to check on him. It's too cute!!! There have been a few times where she gets jealuos of him though, but most of the time she just loves him!

Chris and I are doing great as well. We are finally adjusting to parenthood!! Well Chris is still trying to adjust to the lack of sleep. (Haha!!) He is doing great though and he is such a wonderful dad to Colton. I've been so blessed to have such a wonderful and Godly man in my life and I'm so glad that Colton will have a father who loves him, who loves his wife and who also loves the Lord with all of his heart. I on the other hand love being a mommy!!! It's such a wonderful gift from God to become a mom and I'm so glad that God blessed me with Colton. Even though there are many sleepless nights, I simply adore him!!

Colton is doing great!! We've had a wonderful few weeks at home and he is finally on a schedule. He sleeps great at night and is a wonderful little boy. He loves to eat, swing in his swing and he loves to be cuddled. I could hold him all day long if I didn't have so much to do around the house!! Being a mom is amazing!!Colton had his first doctors appointment about 2 weeks ago and he has gained a pound (now 8.2 lbs) and grew an inch (now 20.5 inches). He is growing and growing each and every day and it's amazing how much he has changed in just a few short weeks. Chris and I just adore him, we think he's just the cutest baby ever!!! Colton is Here!!!

Colton arrived Saturday at 12:30 and is just perfect!!! He was 7 lbs 2 ounces and 19.5 inches long. Everything went great and Chris and I are just trilled to have our little boy here. Here are a few pictures of Colton's first few days in the world. I'll be posting more and updating more on Colton and parenthood within the next few weeks. Thanks for all the prayers and support over the past few months. Chris and I love you all!

We're heading to the Hospital Friday!!!

I went to the doctor yesterday and Dr. Myers said that she wanted to go ahead and induce me Saturday morning. My blood pressure was higher than normal so Chris and I are going in tomorrow night for them to monitor by blood pressure and then they will induce me Saturday morning. She said that Colton should arrive either sometime late Saturday afternoon or even possibly into Saturday night. Please keep us all in your prayers. We can't wait to see Colton and to introduce you all to him. We will post pictures as soon as possible!!!
