Chris and I are heading to Mentone, AL tonight with our Sunday School Class for a weekend trip. We can't wait to get out of town, but we are going to miss Colton so much!! He's not very far away from figuring out how to crawl and I'm just praying that he doesn't start this weekend while we are away. I'm sure Nana and Big Daddy would love for that to happen, but I'm keeping my fingers cross. And, if he does, they better not tell me!!
So, I got up extra early this morning to finish packing, washing the dishes and bottles and trying to finish up cleaning the house a little bit and washing all the clothes before we leave tonight. We'll I feel like nothing got accomplished this morning. It was.. One of those mornings where everything went wrong. Colton wasn't in a very good mood (strange for mornings because normally he is very happy) and I couldn't find a thing to pack in my closet for the trip. Looks like I need a shopping trip when I get home!! Luckily however, we managed to get out the door by 7:30am which gave me just enough time to drop him off at Chris' parents and get to work with 3 minutes to spare. Haha!! Hopefully I can get a few more things done during my lunch break!!Have a wonderful weekend and I'll post pictures of the trip as soon as we get back. Oh and by the way, ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!!!!

I took Colton Monday to Moulton, AL for a photo shoot with Santa. One of the guys that sings with Chris has a family photography business and his wife took some pictures of Colton with Santa for us. Colton did great! He loved Santa and just smiled at him when he walked out. She took some pictures of them reading together, baking cookies together and some of them both in the snow together. I can't wait to see how they turn out! Mommy and Colton also stopped in B'Ham on our way back home to see our good friend Amy. Her little boy is in the hospital up there and it was so nice to spend some time with her. Please keep her family and her little boy Gabe in your prayers. Last night was a very eventful night at the Whitaker household. Chris and I were busy cleaning the house, so Colton was playing on the floor in the living room with all of his toys. He was just the sweetest thing and we didn't hear a word out of him while we were cleaning. We were getting ready to clean the living room, so I decided I would get Colton so Chris could vacuum and pick up all the toys. Much to my surprise, when I picked up Colton I noticed that he had a blow out diaper and it was all over his back! Gross!! I quickly stripped Colton down and put him in the bath tub! Once clean, Colton was ready for his bottle and then it was bedtime. What a night!! This morning I also noticed that his first tooth is finally cutting through his gums! It is on his bottom right side in his mouth. How exciting!! I'll try to take some pictures tonight of his first tooth so that you all can see.
