Christmas at Big Daddy's and Nana's House

We headed over to Big Daddy's and Nana's house for lunch on Christmas day. As soon as we arrived we all opened gifts. Colton got a rocking horse and a rocket from Big Daddy and Nana. He also got lots of other toys and some clothes from them as well. Aunt Val and Uncle Rob gave him a slide for his playroom, a helicopter toy and his first camo hat! Colton loved it!!! Mom and Dad also surprised us all with a cruise to Cozumel in February. We are so excited and we can't wait to go! I also got DVD players for my car! I can't wait to put them in because I know that Colton will just love watching movies in the car while we are driving around town. Chris got a signed picture by Nick Saban and we both got a ton of other things! We surprised Mom and Dad with a picture of Chris, Colton, Rob, Val and I. They loved it!! After we opened gifts we ate lunch. Turkey and Dressing -- My favorite!! It was sooo good!! Here are a few pictures while we were over at Big Daddy and Nana's house.

Christmas Morning

We woke up early Christmas morning to see what Santa brought Colton!! There were a ton of presents under the tree and Colton just didn't know what to think about everything. He loved his Musical Jungle and his Drums. After letting Colton see all of his toys, Chris and I opened up our gifts from each other while Colton continued to play. Chris' favorite gift was Guitar Hero for his PlayStation and my favorite gift was the video camera that Chris surprised me with. He did such a good job!! After opening gifts, we watched the Disney Christmas parade on TV and Colton took a quick nap in his crib while we were getting ready to go to Big Daddy's and Nana's house. Once he woke up we headed out the door to open up more presents at Big Daddy's and Nana's house!

Christmas Eve with the Leonard Family

We went to The Roberts house on Christmas Eve night for dinner and for our annual Christmas get together with my dad's side of the family. We had steaks, baked potatoes, salad, and plenty of desserts! It was soooo yummy!!! After eating dinner, we let all of the kids open their gifts. Colton went first since he was the youngest. He loved the ABC train that Aunt Donna, Uncle Dennis, Carson, Connor and Carter gave him, the Laugh & Learn Table that Aunt Janice, Uncle Dwayne, Collin and Garrett gave him, and the cute train outfit and Learning Puppy that Aunt Melinda, Uncle Steve, Jess and Cody gave him. Let's just say that this child is already spoiled!!! After the kids opened their gifts, the adults played dirty Santa and I won a gift card to Zoe's. Then we headed up to the movie room for one of our favorite Leonard traditions, the Santa Game. If you haven't played this game, it's a must!!! It's sooooo much fun!! And to make it even better I won this year!!! After the game, it was time to get little Colton in the bed for Santa to come so we headed home.

8 Months!! Where has the time gone??? My little baby is now becoming the cutest and the sweetest little boy ever! This has to be my favorite age so far because he is really starting to get his own personality now. He is in to everything and he just laughs and giggles all the time. He is such a happy little boy all the time!!

Here are some highlights from the past month:
  • He has tried mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, carrots and spaghetti sauce; however he does not like the taste or the texture. We’re going to keep trying though!
  • Has started crawling everywhere!!!!! And he is so fast!
  • Can now pull up in his crib! He started doing this on Christmas morning. I had laid him down for a nap before going to Big Daddy’s and Nana’s house and I heard him laughing and giggling in his crib. I walked in there and he was standing up holding onto the side of the crib. He just laughed at me when I saw him. He now will peak out the side of the crib in the morning time when he gets up until someone can come and get him out. It’s precious!
  • Hates getting his nose cleaned and face wiped off
  • Still loves bath time!
  • He now reaches for Mommy and Daddy all the time.
  • We made Colton his own playroom after Christmas and he loves it!!! We put all of his toys in there and he loves to go and play in there during the day.
  • Kicks his right leg and waves his right hand constantly.
  • He will now hold his bottle with just his left hand while watching cartoons in the morning time.
  • Loves the remote control and the phone.
  • He wears size 3 diapers and is in 6 to 9 month clothing.
  • Takes 24 ounces of formula a day. He also has cereal and fruit in the morning and at night time and one vegetable and fruit at lunch and dinner. He really loves to eat!

Merry Christmas!!

This has to be one of my new favorite pictures of Colton. He was crying right before I took this picture because he was wanting to take a nap before Sunday School. I however, decided I needed to take his picture so I sat him down in front of the Christmas tree. As soon as he saw me with the camera he started smiling. I just love it!!
