Playing with Daddy

One of Colton's favorite things to play with daddy is chase. The other night we were trying to get some family Christmas pictures and Colton was not in the mood for pictures. We decided to let him play for a few minutes before trying again, so daddy started chasing him around the living room. I snapped this pictures while they were playing and I love all the smiles and giggles I captured on Colton's face. He loves his daddy soooo much!!

Jessica's Holiday Shower

My cousin Jessica is getting married in June and she had a Holiday Shower a few weeks ago. It was so much fun and I'm already looking forward to many moreAdd Image showers to attend this spring. Here is a picture of all the Leonard girls (except Valerie). Mom, Tara, Aunt Melinda, Jessica, Aunt Janice and Aunt Donna. I'm so blessed to have such great role models in my life. I love each and every one of them!

Pictures Before School

You Better Not Cry, You Better Not Pout...

Our morning started off great today! After getting ready for work, I decided to get a few pictures of Colton in front of the Christmas tree before heading out the door. He did great for a few minutes and I actually got a few decent pictures out of him.

I love this one!

However, after a few minutes the cartoons got his attention and he wouldn't look at mommy while I was taking his pictures. I decided to turn the cartoons off and I got these pictures....

You Better Watch Out, You Better Not Cry, You Better Not Pout, I'm telling you why....
Santa Claus is coming to town!!

He was NOT happy with mommy!

After a while, he threw his face down on the floor to cry some more.

I finally decided that I wasn't going to get any more pictures, so I turned the cartoons back on.. He was happy as he could be then!

I think next time I will leave the TV off until after I get some pictures!

Oh the weather outside is frightful...

All bundled up and ready to go to Granny and Papa's house..

ROLL TIDE ROLL!!

Colton was sooooo excited that Bama beat Florida last weekend!
2009 SEC Champs!!

Santa in Space

Nana took Colton and I last Saturday to see Santa in Space in B'Ham at the children's theater. I wasn't quite sure that he would sit through the entire play but he did great and loved it!!! You actually sit on the floor and are very close to all the actors so that helped and kept Colton entertained during the show. He also enjoyed a few cheese puffs and juice during the show as well which helped. Haha..

Nana and her favorite grandson!! She spoils him sooo much!!

After the play we got to see Santa and the crayons (aliens in the play). The play was super cute and was about Santa arriving on the planet of Crayon. While there Santa sang songs and told "the crayons" about Christmas.

Colton wasn't sure about Santa and "the crayons". He just stared them down trying to figure them out.

After the show, we headed back to the car. It was freezing that morning so we had to all bundle up before walking outside.

Once we got in the car, Colton was sound asleep within 5 minutes. I was so proud of him because he didn't take a nap all morning long until we made it to the car.

For lunch we headed to Johnny Rockets and Colton loved their french fries!

Mommy and Nana had a few Christmas gifts to buy so we did some shopping for a few hours before heading home. Colton did great and was such a good boy all day long!

Trip to the North Pole

Sunday night, Nana took Colton and I to ride the Polar Express to the North Pole! We had so much fun and Colton loved it!! We arrived at the train station around 4pm and boarding the train around 5pm to go see Santa at the North Pole.

Colton before boarding the train..

All Aboard!!!

Once we got on the train Colton tried to get up in his seat by himself. It took him a few times before he was successful.

YAY!!

Looking outside the train on the way to the North Pole

On the way there, they read the book the Polar Express to all the kids over the microphone.

On the way to the North Pole, Colton got a visit from the elf's. He wasn't quite sure about this one.

We made it to the North Pole.. Santa's Workshop!

And there is Santa and Mrs. Claus!

While waiting for Santa and Mrs. Claus to make their rounds on the train, Colton had some cheese puffs and juice for a snack. (See his messy face)

Still waiting for Santa

Colton finally got to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus. He wasn't quite sure of Santa but he went right to Mrs. Claus. I hate that he is chewing on his blanket in this picture but it really sums up Colton. He LOVES that blanket and he loves to chew on it!

LOVE this picture! His face is priceless!!

Bye Santa!!
After Santa and Mrs. Claus left, they came around with chocolate milk and cookies for everyone. Colton also got a bell and a small stuffed animal from the elf's. Mom, Colton and I loved every single minute of the train ride. We're already looking forward to making this a family tradition every year!

Thanksgiving 2009

Chris, Colton and I had a wonderful Thanksgiving this year. We started the morning off by watching the Thanksgiving parade and enjoying breakfast from Hardees. Colton loved the balloons and his favorite one was Spider Man!! After breakfast we headed over to Big Daddy and Nana's house for Thanksgiving lunch. Most people know that Turkey and Dressing is probably one of my favorite meals, so I was in hog heaven all day long!! Poor Colton though, didn't even make it to the table before falling sound asleep! (The smell of the turkey must have made him sleepy because he took a 3 hour nap! haha) After lunch, we headed home to relax and clean the house up before heading to have dinner with Chris' parents. We had a wonderful dinner with them as well. We're already looking forward to next year's Thanksgiving!!
