We left Tuscaloosa and headed to Mobile for the cruise on Thursday, February 19th around 8am. Chris, My parents, Aunt Janice, Uncle Dwayne and I all rode down together. After a few hours, we arrived in Mobile around noon. We then to meet Rob and Valerie for lunch and we decided to eat at Ed's Seafood in Mobile on the Bay. It was wonderful!! After lunch we all loaded back up again and headed to the boat dock. Once we all went through security we boarded the boat around 2pm. Once on board, we found our rooms, walked around the ship and then headed outside to enjoy the beautiful weather! After the boat life drill, The Holiday (the ship we were on) headed out of Mobile. Before dinner, we checked out a karaoke lounge, listened to a Jazz Band and went to a few shops on the boat. We headed to dinner at 8:15pm and we were introduced to our head waiter, Jesen. He was wonderful!! For dinner that night I had a Salad and Shrimp Cocktail for an appetizer, Tiaplia and Vegetables for my main entree and the warm melting cake for dessert!! This was by far one of my favorite meals of the week! The warm chocolate melting cake was so yummy!!! After dinner, we went to the comedy show, however I was tired and left early to head to bed. Day 1 was wonderful but tiring!!
